City & Guilds Qualifications: PTLLS - Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector

OUR APPROACH

  • Fast track your Award by training with us in a block of 5 consecutive days or 5 days over 6 weeks. (This is an intensive programme so includes some evening work)
  • Courses running monthly in Somerset.
  • In house delivery to a minimum of 6 delegates at your work place, at greatly reduced rates.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Know the teacher/trainers' role, responsibilities and boundaries.
  • Understand teaching and learning approaches in your specialist area.
  • Develop and demonstrate session planning skills
  • Know how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners.
  • Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping.

Option 1:
Fast track over 5 consecutive days, £300

Option 2:
Fast track over 3 consecutive days (weekdays) followed by 2 consecutive days (weekend option) in 6 weeks or less, £300

City & Guilds: Full NVQ or Mini Awards in Learning & Development (7318) - levels 3/4

These flexible qualifications are designed for those who undertake training needs analysis and develop training interventions. Choose between taking a unit route and being awarded Certificates of Unit Credit, completing a "Mini Award" made up of 3 to 4 units or taking a full NVQ. We offer the following Mini Awards:-

  • Certificate in the Initial Assessment and Support of Learners
  • Certificate in Review and Assessment of Learning
  • Certificate in Basic Skills Development in the Workplace
  • Certificate in Basic Skills Support in the Workplace

Train the Trainer

This intensive 2 day course provides a solid introduction to the concepts of a systematic approach to training, and developing skills as an effective trainer in any setting. It gives ample opportunities to discuss, learn and practice training delivery skills and the handling of training challenges.
