We specialise in delivery of training to the private, public and third sector on drug/alcohol misuse awareness.

For professionals, senior managers, line managers/supervisors, care workers, health & safety officers, hr personnel and volunteers - who may need to engage with individuals at risk of substance misuse or anyone who needs to have a working knowledge around drug/alcohol misuse.
GAIN KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF:
- The most commonly used drugs, including their street names and legal status
- The effects of misusing drugs and alcohol including physical, psychological and social implications
- Drugs and the Law (Misuse of Drugs Act 1971)
- Local substance misuse services and care pathways
These training courses support the following Drug & Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS) competency units:
- AA1.1 Recognise indications of substance misuse
- HSC33 Develop your own knowledge and practice
- HSC22 Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals
Our trainers are expert in the support and development of service provision for substance mis-users, with more than 24 years experience of working in the substance misuse field, including delivering training on substance misuse to the Royal College of General Practitioners. See our Profiles.
